In other farm news: Tornado season has begun! We've had some "interesting" storms the last few days. Everything is fine, it's just the time of year when we can expect fun things like hail, straight line winds, tornado warnings and actual tornadoes (an F2 touched down in southern Iowa last year, causing between $2 and $3 million dollar's damage to a large farm...all humans were okay, but there was significant damage to buildings and, unfortunately, livestock :( )  The good news is, the rain is making our crops grow! The bad news is, the rain is making our weeds grow. Ah, well...so it goes.

March Luxury Soap is here! We have 40 bars of amazing "Relaxation" Soap, a very zen, spa scent. It's a combo of tangerine, lavender and petitgrain essential oils...utterly fantastic. 

February Luxury Soap is here, and it is DIVINE! Terri had a great time concocting this special Sensual Soap. She scented it with a spicy, fiery, potent essential oil blend of nutmeg, ylang-ylang, and patchouli. It's floral, spicy and rich....and the essential oils in it are considered traditional aphrodesiacs. Consider yourself warned. :) We have 38 bars of this fantastic soap - when it's gone, it's gone, so enjoy it while it lasts! $6.00 each - any 3 or more soaps are $5.50 each. Ingredients: Fair Trade coconut oil, organic palm kernel oil, distilled water, sodium hydroxide, essential oils of nutmeg, patchouli and ylang-ylang.

November Luxury Soap of the Month is here! Spiced Rum is a Bay Rum type soap, scented with essential oils of bay, lime, bergamot, cinnamon, clove and black pepper. While we do recommend getting a bar or two for your favorite fellas, we personally think it's fantstic for us gals too. We've had a BUSY month here at Prairieland Herbs, and have gotten a wee bit behind on some things.....such as our Luxury Soap of the Month. But I've finally got it posted online. "Flying Moon" is a luscious, heady blend of ylang-ylang (an exotic floral) and pure vanilla absolute. Enhanced with organic goat's milk, black cocoa butter, aloe extract, pumpkin seed oil (how very seasonal!!!), silk fibers, AND shea butter - well, wow. I just don't know what else to say except....oh yeah. FANTABULOUS. There are about 50 bars, and they WILL go fast.....

In other news - we did the farmer's market yesterday, and had a great time. John likes to bring his spinning wheel and spin while we're there vending; seeing and hearing people's reactions is absolutely priceless. I will have to write up a whole blog post just that, sometime. Anyway. After the market we delivered orders to some local stores that carry our goods: East Village Books, the Living History Farm gift store, and Heart of Iowa Marketplace.
